En la edición 96 de los premios Oscar, "Oppenheimer", la cinta dirigida por Christopher Nolan, era una de las favoritas con más nominaciones (trece) y finalmente consiguió alzarse como la gran vencedora tras conseguir 7 galardones incluyendo mejor película, director, actor principal y actor de reparto.

Por otro lado, "Poor Things", dirigida por Yorgos Lanthimos, consiguió llevarse 4 galardones, incluido el de mejor actriz principal.
